The Darkness surrounding the tomboyish brunette immediatly subsided when she felt Ray's hand on her shoulder. With a deep breath, she turned to Ray and mouthed 'thanks.'

Alex just laughed and shook her head at her friends' desperate attempts to beg Emile. "Please?" She asked simply, with the typical Alex smile on her face.

"He called you a suck up, Kay." Alex laughed. "How bout this, lets walk at a more suitable time for Emile here. I'm sure Kaylee and Ray would like to rest anyway. I know i'd at least like to sit. Traveling the Lanes Between isn't as easy as it looks."

Chris took off running, trying to prove something and not get in trouble, but without fail he face planted on the carpet.

Chris got up spitting out pieces of carpet. "Shut up Ray." He laughed before taking off again.

After a minute or two, they finally entered the main hall of the castle, which oddly had no windows. "Finally, no sunlight." sighed a relieved Emile as he removed his hood, revealing his short, curly hair.

Kaylee made a relatively quiet noise of happiness when she saw Emile's hair. "Can I touch your hair?" She asked holding out her hand and touching it anyway, trying to control the excitement in her voice.
