"If they let Kaylee lose it has." Alex laughed. She walked calmly for a few minutes, then a smile spread across her face and she took off running. "Race ya!"

This was exactly what he was waiting for. "Look who's talking." he said as he turned off into an alleyway, taking a shortcut that he had discovered a decade before. "See you there!" he echoed back to her as he disappeared between the houses.

"Cheater." She giggled and turned back around to walk. She had forgotten what it was like to roam these streets alone. Peaceful as it was, she didn't much like it now. Not after having met Ray. "Man... What have you gotten yourself into Alex? Falling for that one. You'd be lucky if he ever though of you as a best friend, much less more than that." She mused sadly to herself as she walked. "Still, there is just something about him. Something special." Thoughts continued to unfold, but in her head. She wasn't far from the castle now, he was probably there waiting.

Ray made it to the castle's gate with no sight of Alex. He decided the best way to celebrate, and to kill a little time, was to sit down and take a short nap.

Alex finally arrived, looking a bit solem now. However seeing Ray put a smile back on her face, even if he was sleeping. She walked up and prodded him with her foot. "Hey hot stuff, wake up." She said softly, mostly referancing his use of fire.

"Tansycakes!" he yelped, started by her foot. He jumped up and looked around. "Oh, it's only you Alex." He opened the gate and motioned for her to go in first.
