The Samurai met her eyes before charging towards her. Laclarye was quick to land the first blow with her scythe but her Nobody caught her with its sheath. The force sent her tumbling back, but she wouldn't let herself fall. Her next attack had her opponent on its back. However before she could declare victory she was taken out from below. "Owwwww!" Her head hit the stone floor particularly hard and X saw stars for a few moments. The Samurai seemed to be laughing at its fallen leader, something Laclarye refused to let happen. Her scythe descended upon the Nobody and it disappeared before her eyes.

A Ninja was perched on a rail, watching the duel when its master, Remej walked in. The Ninja seemed to laugh when the Samurai was defeated. Remej just looked at it with his icy cold stare and it shimmered away. "You let it get the better of you for a second again, Laclarye." stated VII.

Laclarye groaned at the appearance of Remej. She had hoped that her practice would be private, but with twelve other Organization members one of them would've come across her at some point. At a point I'd be kicking ass, the young Nobody thought. It was embarrassing to have her own Samurai seen beating her, especially by Remej. His success in battle was enviable and she strived to be like him in fighting style. "Do you have any suggestions then?"

"Well," he began, his monotone voice never changing, "your Nobodies are the Samurai, which only attack one at a time. They also use their sheathes in tangent with their swords, so you always have to keep an eye open for those attacks. Right before a Samurai swings its sword, it has the tendency to regrip the hilt. Watch for that tell-tale sign and act accordingly. If a Samurai misses, it will usually be left open on the opposite side."

She nodded slowly, thinking over his advice. It was about patience, observance and the ability to strike at the right time. "That's good. Thankyou," Laclarye said before falling into silence. Unlike her Somebody, she did not have words waiting to burst out in times like these. She could continue to practice, put Remej's advice to good use but she was uncomfortable with a spectator there.
X stared up at Remej. He was a good deal taller than her and it was a strain for her to look him in the eye. "So," she began after awhile, "what brings you here?"

"Superior sent me to oversee your training. When you properly learn to fight your own Nobodies, then I will summon another type of Nobody for you to train against." he said calmly, his expression never changing.

With a sigh, Laclarye summoned her Nobodies for round two. Her stomach was in knots as she raised her scythe. Making mistakes was no big deal. However having someone watch you fail was different. The Samurai and her circled each other once before she attacked. The Nobody was quick to block her and swung at her. He nearly hit her, but she dodged at the last minute and landed a hit on his exposed side. "One," Laclarye muttered as a way of keeping score. The sword and sheath came around again. The sheath missed her but the sword swept across her stomach, ripping her top and leaving a shallow cut. She grimaced at this. Why do these guys always get the better of me? After a few more minutes of fighting, Laclarye saw an opening. She was quick to swing her scythe and take the Samurai's head clean off. The body disappeared and again she was left with Remej. Her cut was still wet with blood so she walked over to the kit to clean her wound.

"You must learn to be patient, especially when fighting your Samurai. Your scythe doesn't really allow for much lee-way. Use the weight and length of the weapon to your advantage." VII instructed. "Don't get distracted by injury, put the pain in the back of your mind, only after you win should you deal with it."

Pateince...patience, Laclarye repeated to herself as she cleaned the blood. It was something she practiced everyday but for some reason it escaped her in battle. For the third time a Samurai was summoned. X took a deep breath and settled into a meditation like state. Time seemed to slow and the young Nobody could clearly see the attack of her opponent. She could easily defeat it in this state and she did. Laclarye smiled triumphantly as it disappeared.

"Good," commented Remej, his expression never changing, "well done. Now, do it again, and again, and again, until you do it consistently."

"Yes sir," Laclarye said with a small salute before returning to training. It unnerved her a bit that Remej's face never changed though she was unsure why. Nobodies felt nothing, except physical pain so there was no reason for their faces to show emotion. That didn't stop some of them though. Laclarye had seen many of the others express emotions they couldn't feel. She dismissed this thought as she started training with another Samurai.

VII watched on as X and her Samurai dueled. Clashing back and forth. This young Nobodies had potential, he could see why Superior recruited her, but she still had a lot to learn. Remej then snapped his fingers and a Ninja shimmered in. He nodded his head toward the other Nobodies and it complied. The Nobody sunk down into the ground and moved in for the attack.

Laclarye's concentration was on her fight with the Samurai. However when the Ninja jumped into the match, her focus was broken. Fuck! she thought as the Nobody's claws grazed her face. Slightly shaken, the girl just managed to block its next attack with her scythe and send it back. Laclarye tried to get back in the calm state of mind she had before but the two opponents threw her off. Taking a breath, she tried to regain hold of the situation, all the while cursing Remej. Bastard.

Remej simply watched the battle. Then he snapped his fingers again and the Ninja looked up at him, ready for his order. He tilted his head to the left and blinked. The Nobody nodded in compliance and sunk into the ground once again, ready for its next attack. "Without mercy." stated VII calmly.
