The red-head didn't know how to respond. So, he simply offered her a hug. That seemed to be the theme of the day.

She stopped and looked at him for a moment. She was almost shocked at the offer of a hug, but decided to accept it anyway.

Ray hugged Alex and patted her on the back in a comforting way. "Need help packing? No telling when we'll be back."

"I'm already packed and physically ready to go. Well except I've got to change. Thanks though." She responded. She let the embrace last a bit longer before pulling away, as not to make it look like she was being clingy. "And thanks for the hug. I needed it. A lot. Before you came along, I hadn't had a hug in years. And Dang it people need hugs." She added, throwing in the last bit of humor for good mesure.

He laughed as he left the room, closing the door behind him. "It turns out, she just needed a hug." he told Kaylee as he left the stairwell.

"Really? That's all?" She asked, as if Alex got hugs all the time.
Alex came down soon in a pain of faded black jeans and a form fitting shirt. "Are we ready to go?"

"Oh! Wait! I Have something I forgot to do!" Alex said, taking off quickly. Kaylee raised and eyebrown and looked at Ray.
"Do you know where she's going in such a hurry?"

After a little while Alex peeked her head back in the door. "Ray. C'mere." She said, dissappearing again. Kaylee ran outside first and say her standing by a small fortune of munny and several pairs of clothes, arranged just like he wore his, all in slightly varying colors.

"Damn." The curse was all he could mutter. After picking his jaw up off of the floor he hugged her in thanks then said. "Man, I'm going to need like a gym bag or something for all this."

Alex smiled and pulled out a very nice black and red suitcase with his name stitched into it from behind the mound of munny. "Anything else?" She said with a laugh.
