The dark corridor opened up and a hooded Bane of Existence stepped out and awaited his superior.

Toviryk walked through the dark corridor, and saw Bayge standing nearby, waiting for him. "Let's go, Bayge. Daylight's fading," he said, walking right passed XIII, hurrying towards the desert.

"Yes, IV." obliged Bayge, removing his hood as he followed. "What are we hunting? II neglected to give me my mission card."

"An Iron Imprisoner. It was causing havoc right outside of town, to the west. Hopefully it won't take long to dispatch," IV looked at Bayge. He wasn't used to having this much respect from anyone, even if they were a lower rank. "You ready to go?"

"Yes, IV." he nodded. The Bane had never been to the desert before, so much sand, so hot.

"And a quick word of advice. If you see the sand start to funnel downwards, run," IV said, making his way west.

"Thank you, IV." nodded the Bane. As he ran along his nonexistent superior, every now and again a foot sank into the dunes. Running on the shifting surface was new and difficult.

"Having trouble with the sand, XIII," IV mused. "It's okay, sand is a very fickle friend. You gotta pick the right places to step."

"Yes, IV." nodded Bayge once again. He took a step forward and half of his leg sank into the scorched sediment. "C'mon!"

Toviryk moved the sand away from Bayge's half-buried leg. "Let's go, the sooner we move, the faster we get back to headquarters. And the sooner I can have noodles!" Toviryk grinned at him.

"Thank you, IV." chuckled XIII as he stood back up. At the mention of the food Bayge tilted his head. "I've never had noodles."

Toviryk gave him a look of total shock. "You've never had noodles?! What is wrong with you, my friend," Toviryk said, laughing. "Look, when we get back, I will give you noodles, and you will love them!"

"Cool!" smiled the Bane through his mask as they continued on. The nothings eventually stumbled upon a desert ruin, seemingly an ancient city. "Didn't II say that it was last seen hanging around ruins?"

"Yeah, so keep your eyes peeled for anythi--" Toviryk never got to finish his statement, when it charged at them. It was massive. Toviryk made a giant sand wall, but that just slowed it down. It continued to come towards them. "Jump!" Toviryk exclaimed, jumping to the left.
