The Heartless entered the Champion's Arena, the semi-final match before fighting the reigning champ. He looked over and saw a semi-familiar person. "The boy from before. I don't want to kill him, but if he has a strong heart I will definitely make a note for the Dark Empress." he thought as he awaited his foe.

Zack walked into the Champion's Arena. As he stepped up on the stage, he noticed the man he had met earlier. Seems like he's a good fighter. Might need to be a bit more cautious during this match.

"I am Raez." he simply responded. He held out his hand, a piece of parchment formed in it. He bit his thumb, releasing his black blood from the tip. On the paper he wrote the boy's name. Z-A-C-K. He desummoned the paper and his thumb instantly healed.

"Nothing, just filling out my report." answered the Heartless. He opened his hand. Fire began to swirl in the palm and formed a spinning column forward. The flames solidified into a claymore. "Now," he began, taking his battle stance, "shall we get started?"

Report? Over what? Zack summoned Lionheart and took a defensive stance, unsure of how his opponent would decide to attack. He could try to strike at me with the claymore, but he also appears to know fire-based magic. Zack thought to himself as he cautiously watched his opponent.

Raez coated Burning Rage in black flames and sent a wave of fire towards the Keyblader.

Oh crap! thought Zack as he attempted to jump over the flames. Despite his effort, the flames still hit him below his knees. While trying to fight off the pain, Zack attempted to hit his opponent with Strike Raid.

"You seem to have misjudged me, Keyblade Wielder." he commented as he sidestepped the attack and lunged his claymore for the boy's neck.

Being a bit more prepared this time, Zack quickly rolled backwards out of harm's way, leapt up, and caught Lionheart as it made its return trip. "Maybe one of these days I'll learn to judge my opponents better." he remarked. Zack charged toward Raez and began to rapidly deal out attacks, hoping that at least some of them would land.

The Heartless deflected most of the attacks then quickly moved away, leaving a burn trail. He held his free hand out to his side. "Prepare to burn." he said as he formed a dark fireball in his hand. He released a volley toward Zack.

Zack raised his Keyblade in defense, and deflected the volley back toward Raez.
