The Corridor to Darkness opened up outside the giant pavilion that was, more or less, the antechamber to the Coliseum. The Third Eternal Black member exited the dark portal. The gateway closed behind him. He entered the pavilion, found the sign up board, and wrote his name.

Always wanted to participate in one of these tournaments! thought Zack as he rushed into the pavilion. This is going to be better than the struggle tournaments back home. He walked up to the sign up board and put his name down. Then he noticed the other man in the pavilion. "Hi! Are you signing up for the Games as well?"

The darkly tanned man looked at the boy next to him out of the side of his head, out of his "good" eye. Raez then turned his head, revealing the eye patch and scar. "Yes, I am. Actually, I already have." His "good" eye was trained on the boy, he could sense the Light flowing off of him. "He can probably sense my Darkness. The Dark Mistress gave me strict orders to be discreet. Oh well, his heart would be fine in my collection."

Something about this man just doesn't feel right. thought Zack. "Any idea when it starts?"

"It seems that the preliminaries are going to start soon," began the Heartless, "we should go to our separate brackets."

"Right," said Zack. He checked to make sure he had all the items he needed, and then summoned Lionheart so that he would be ready when it was time for his first match.

Raez was called for his first match. A fragile looking Greek. The boy ran at him, swinging wildly. The Heartless grabbed his hand and delivered a jawbreaking left hook, rendering the boy unconscious. The announcer declared Raez the winner and he moved to allow the next match.

Zack faced his first match, a capable-looking man. However, the man wasn't fast enough to block Zack's attacks, and Zack easily defeated him. Zack walked back to the lobby to prepare for the next fight.

Raez's next match was against a man with long brown hair and a long sword with a thick blade. The man rushed at him and brought his blade down. Raez simply side-stepped the attack, the sword became stuck in the ground. The Third Eternal Black broke the man's nose and cheek with a jab to the face. The Heartless then punched him two more times, in the shoulder and stomach, breaking bones and rupturing organs. The blows had enough force to send him flying out of the stage. Raez released the blade from the arena and threw it off the stage, leaving as he did so.

Zack walked up on the stage for his next match. He was facing a man who wielded a dagger. This shouldn't be too hard. thought Zack. However, after the match started, Zack realized that the man was also quick on his feet. The match dragged, as both men had trouble getting their attacks to hit their opponent. Finally, Zack used Strike Raid. The man successfully jumped over the Keyblade as it passed underneath him, and he started charging toward Zack, who now had no weapon. However, the man was knocked out when Lionheart made its return trip. Zack caught the Keyblade and walked the stage.

Raez's next rival was a juggernaut of a man, clad in bronze plate-mail, carrying a large morning star. The Heartless raised an eyebrow at the giant. He began to walk over to the large warrior, who laughed at Raez's appearance. Suddenly, the Third quickly appeared behind the giant, leaving a burn trail from where he was. He placed a hand on the back of the man. "I'll leave nothing but ashes." he said solemnly before engulfing the Somebody in flames. The man's armor acted as a cauldron, baking him alive inside the plate-mail. The battle suit began to melt, the man slowly turned to ash, flesh and bone. When the flames died down, nothing was left but a puddle of bronze and ash. Raez nonchalantly walked off-stage, obviously winning.

Zack faced his next opponent, a well-built man who wielded a sword. The man swung at Zack. Zack simply ducked, and then jumped as the man swung low at him. At the height of his jump, he delivered a quick blow straight toward the head, stunning the man for a moment. Zack immediately did a combat roll to get to his opponent's back and started dealing out more quick attacks. Soon, the man collapsed to the ground. Zack spun Lionheart a couple of times before he de-summoned it and walked back to the lobby.

It was the final match in Raez's bracket, if he won then he would go against the winner of the other bracket's match. Then he'd have a shot at his target.
Raez entered the arena. His opponent stood across from him. A woman. Dark skinned and haired. She brandished a spear. She rushed him, lunging for his heart (OoC: XD good luck!). He simply pushed the weapon away, and as her momentum brought her closer, he sent a fist right into her throat, collapsing her trachea. She instantly dropped to the ground, gagging on her throat, trying to breath, but to no avail. She slowly, and painfully suffocated. With that, the Heartless made his way to the next arena.

Zack walked onto the stage. One more match, and then I might be able to face the champion of the other bracket. Zack thought. His opponent came up to the stage. The man was wearing armor, and wielded a mace. Zack moved in for an attack, but the man swung his mace and entangled Lionheart in its chain. The man then started swinging Zack around, causing Zack to tumble on the ground. However, Zack let go of Lionheart and then re-summoned the weapon. The man paused, confused at what had just happened. Zack took advantage of this by rushing up and hitting the warrior in the spots his armor didn't protect. The man soon fell to the ground. Zack smiled. Looks like I'm moving on to the championship round. thought Zack as he moved on to the next arena.
