Suddenly, a huge jet of water erupted upward, showering the nearby area. As the jet died down, Darkness could be seen. The column finally fell, revealing a Darkness encoated, floating Kurt. He shimmered through the Darkness from his position to the shoreline.

Alex staggered quickly to her feet, still breathing hard, but not willing to give in. Though tired and worn down, a firey light still burned strong in her eyes.

He looked at her, his cold expression never changing. "I'm done here." He walked to his right and shimmered out through the Darkness.

After waiting a moment to make SURE he was gone this time, she relaxed and headed back toward the house. "Ray will want to hear about this..."
